Drinking Alcohol and Losing Weight

Updated: Aug 30, 2019

This is real life ISH.

First of all, alcohol doesn't make you fat. Excess calories make you fat.

Now that we have that out of the way. . . .

Dieting=Less Body Fat
Less Body Fat % = Less alcohol consumption

Too many cocktails can lead to alcohol-induced cravings(greasy cheeseburgers), skipping your morning routine( "i'll just lay here and do nothing") and pure regret.

A study in the UK found that women alone, consume about 1,000 calories in alcohol alone, when drinking.

You are your own boss, when it comes to choosing how many drinks you consume. When dieting, be aware that the lower your body fat percentage is, the quicker you become intoxicated. Don't be surprised if you train/diet hard for a month, celebrate with cocktails and don't remember but half of the night. Control yo' self.

Tips n' Tricks

Avoid Mixers
Count your drinks
SLOW DOWN
Eat beforehand
Drink a glass of water between each drink

Great drinks with low sugar:

  1. Gin and Tonic

  2. Vodka and Water (always carry MIO with you!)

  3. Mojito

  4. White Wine Spritzer

  5. White Claw

  6. Truly

  7. Champagne

  8. Light Beer
