The Best Skillet Green Beans

Flavor City ya'll- these are EZ Eats very own Basil Balsamic Green Beans.

Eventually, just like anything else, we get tired of eating the same ol' bland vegetables. One taste of these and you'll never steam again.

What a perfect time to share this recipe, seeing this community come together and support our local businesses! The Olive Oil and Vinegar used in this recipe, are purchased from Olivino Taste Bar, right here in the #636. I've included their address below so you can visit, yourself. If you haven't been- be prepared to be amazed. You will never ever buy any other. The friendliest and most knowledgeable people there AND-they let you taste them ALL. I could stay there all day. #StopBuyingShittyOliveOil

These green beans are the same we use in any of our meals that feature green beans because quite frankly, there is no other way to do them.

You need a whoppin' 4 ingredients. F-O-U-R

Times are tough and boring, your green beans don't have to be.

Here are the details:

Ingredients:

-1 lb fresh, snipped green beans

- 1 TB Olivino Basil Infused Olive Oil

-1 1 TB Olivino Lavender Balsamic Vinegar

- 1 tsp minced garlic

Hot cast iron + cold oil

Heat your cast iron skillet to medium high heat. Once your skillet is hot, add your basil infused olive oil and quickly add your green beans. Stir for approximately 2 minutes.

Add your Lavender balsamic to the cast iron, stir and cover with a lid for 2 minutes. Remove the lid and toss green beans. You should see some char on the beans (THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF)

Add minced garlic and toss the green beans frequently, making sure the garlic doesn't burn ( no longer than 60 seconds)

Serve immediately or save for the week. These do well in the refrigerator, for up to 5 days.

Side Note: when storing in Tupperware, let the green beans cool completely before sealing the lid. When you seal the lid on your air tight container while the beans are still hot, they will continue to steam and possibly become soggy.
